“Italian Inspired with California Soul” is the official slogan of Love and Salt, dubbed one of the best new restaurants in Los Angeles by multiple outlets. MBW was brought in to ensure that this mantra and their passion for high-quality service shined through their work space. We originally set out to grind the concrete floor in the dining and bar areas to a 1/8″-1/2″ exposure level, then burnish to a Level 1 finish. The challenge was getting the original grind just right in order to achieve a consistent and natural looking final finished product. We returned a year later to clean and re-burnish the surface, and are pleased with the results.
