strength_in_supportMBW is proud to announce our sponsorship of this year’s Strength in Support Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds from the event will go toward providing support for mental health services for active military members, veterans, and their families, a cause that is incredibly important to the MBW family.

“When I heard that 22 veterans commit suicide each day, I was floored,” said Adam Beamish, president of MBW. “‘Support our troops’ has almost become a cliché and yet, if the suicide rate is such an epidemic in this community, then where is the disconnect and how can we help? I’ve always believed ‘blessed are the poor in spirit’ and I just had to jump at the chance to come alongside this cause. We need to stand up for our troops, not only while they are in the service, but long after they return back home!”

Floyd Thorne, MBW’s chair for the event, agreed and said it’s a personal connection to both Strength in Support and MBW’s veteran staff that makes this event special:

“Our employees who are veterans are very disciplined, hardworking, and always respectful to our customers. They are loyal to the company and better yet, to our customers. We have developed personal relationships with the Strength in Support team since the first year they started the tournament and they have become friends. We are very excited to team up with them.”

This year’s tournament is taking place at the Monarch Golf Links in Dana Point, the perfect place for a picturesque afternoon of golf. But even if golf isn’t your passion, you can still support the organization by becoming a sponsor, donating to the event, or participating in the public auction. Visit StrengthInSupport.org for more information about veteran’s needs and how you can make a huge impact in your community. We hope to see you on the green in October!
